The Challenge

Practical skills that resist paper-based delivery.

GIZ Nigeria runs a vocational upskilling programme for textile designers and small business owners in Lagos and Kano. The skills involved — dyeing techniques, pattern cutting, business finance — are visual, hands-on, and very difficult to convey through text-based materials.

Facilitator-led training worked well but was expensive to scale. GIZ needed a digital solution that preserved the richness of demonstration-based learning without losing participants who had limited literacy in English.

What We Did

Gamified, multilingual, video-first learning.

Sani Solutions produced a suite of 8 Articulate Rise modules with embedded video demonstrations, drag-and-drop practice exercises, and branching business simulation scenarios. All modules were produced in both English and Hausa.

We handled the full production pipeline — scripting, filming with local artisans in Lagos, voiceover recording, animation, and final SCORM packaging ready for deployment in the existing Moodle LMS.

The Outcome

Skills that stick — and scale.
